Extra Special Red is our tribute to one of the oldest beer recipes on record. According to Egyptian mythology, beer colored with red ochre was used to pacify an angry goddess and save the world from destruction. But according to Doug Odell, it needed some hops. We updated this ancient recipe on our 5-barrel system using hand selected fresh harvest hops, for our own extra special take on red beer.
